us astronaut sunita williams is set to run the 2007 boston marathon... in space.
and now, a conversation held between ms. williams and her crew during her orbital marathon attempt:
williams: phew! 16 miles down, 10 to go. say, would you mind turning up the gravity of this space station for the next 45 minutes or so?
crew member: why off earth would you want to do that? isn't running a marathon tough enough?
williams: it sure is, but this is boston. and boston wouldn't be boston without experiencing newton.
