"you were not at the pool with that, were you?" k asked.

"of course i was!" i piped. "it worked like a champ! i lost mine way back before i got sick, the swim shop was closed after work, i was hanging out in my kitchen that night, thinking about the next morning..."

"i'm buying you a new one."

"but i don't need a new one! it works like a champ!"

"i am buying you a new one the next chance i get."

"it's even shaped like my old one! better yet, it can't get moldy!"
